Wednesday to Saturday Anita will be providing tuition 10 am to 4 pm. Feel free to use the room to keep sewing into the evening until 9pm.
Sunday is free day, no tuition fee but I will still be around, and you have access to the Rec room to keep working until 4pm.
Who??
Anyone from a beginner to an experienced quilter will gain knowledge and practical help for quilting with Westalee Design rulers.
What??
Beginners will start off on the Table runner and placemats pattern so that they can learn all the basic skills for successful Westalee Design ruler quilting. Beginners will need to purchase the starter set and other items they need for approximately $250.
Students who have already done this can be completing the rest of the Skill Builder patterns or working on the new project that will be introduced to you soon. Working on your Cracker Jack project is also an option.
This time the new project will be a whole cloth quilt with small and large options. The requirements will be minimal and little preparation will be required.
The focus will be on designing and we are lucky enough to have Janice Davey coming along to help with that too.
The class requirements will be sent to you by the end of February to allow plenty of time to prepare.

Beginners will be spending approximately $250 on Westalee templates to get started on their quilting with rulers journey and the Table Runner pattern.
Accommodation
Rooms are available at the Lakes Entrance RSL and you need to call to reserve your chosen room. I do not do this for you, it is up to you to contact them for the accommodation if you need it. This is not included in the price of the Quilting week.
We have 20 rooms on hold for us, but you need to call to book them when you have booked into the course. Some people choose to stay the night before and the night after the retreat. Just be sure to sort that out when you call to book.
Some of you may have pre-booked rooms last year for the 2024 retreat. Do check the dates are right for you now.
Room rates will be: $95.00 single, $100.00 double/twin, $125.00 triple per night.
Discount for Seniors/Pensioners will be $5.00 per night and RSL Members $10.00 per night.
There are toasters, bowls and plates in each room for guests to make their own breakfast.

Catering
Breakfast can be prepared by you with some facilities provided in the rooms.
Morning tea and light lunch is included in the class fee.
Happy hour drinks and nibbles included too. Lets stop to reflect around 4.30 pm before we go out for dinner.
Dinner will be either at the RSL or other local places and we will make a plan for that nearer the time. This will be at your own expense.
Feel free to keep sewing after dinner. Usually this is until 9pm.
Tuition Fees
The cost for the tuition, morning tea, light lunch and happy hour for the five day event is $450 (this includes your free Sunday, where I have not charged tuition but will be making morning tea and lunch). There is a small increase from last year. As I am sure everyone has experienced, costs of food have risen so I need to cover this off.
The option is there to book in two parts. A non refundable deposit of $100 to reserve your spot with the balance being due 1st April 2023.
The deposit you paid for this retreat at the last retreat will become non refundable after 31st October. Please do advice me if there are any changes to your plans asap.
I always give you a 20% shop discount so start putting together a list if there are items you want me to bring along for you that I may not have in stock.
