Tutored retreats around Australia, we come to you

Posted by Anita Ellis on

We offer retreats at your group and love to travel in our Caravan, bringing our education and shop to you.

In March we took our caravan and shop to Bairnsdale in Eastern Victoria and camped on a local farm.

The wonderful group there worked on projects ranging from beginners with the skill builder projects through to some fancy free motion designs for more experienced students.

Some locals just turned up to top up their supplies from our shop or to join in the "Show and tell" session at lunchtime.

It's always good to catch up with the regulars to see what they have been working on.

As usual we adjourn to the pub for the evening meal where amongst other topics we talked about quilting......

The benefits of us visiting your group are...

Set up once and quilt for two or three days to create your best work.

Many activities are on offer to suit the group, depending on where people are at on their quilting journey. Anita is an expert tutor who is skilled in handling groups on different steps of the quilting journey, be that beginning, improving or confident.

  • Experienced quilters have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of quilting with Westalee Design Rulers and free motion quilting under the guidance of Anita Ellis, an expert educator for Westalee Design and Sew Steady.  Progress along the quilting design journey.
  • Special project retreats cove specific projects such as Tidy Tote classes, free motion projects or Fabric Painting workshops. Different projects are offered throughout the year. Try out new things to stretch your quilting knowledge.

We bring our extensive shop to you and give your group 10% discount on all purchases during the retreat. We also give free products that the group can use as a whole when we cannot be with you.

Our goal is to keep you quilting, long into the future.  A quilt is not a quilt until it's quilted!
