Tutored Quilting Retreat Monday 1st July 2pm to Friday 5th July 9am
Following the success of our previous Long Weekend of Quilting Tutored Retreats, we are now offering two residential Tutored Quilting Retreats in July 2019.
Previous retreat participants said
"Brilliant, varied, lots of learning, catered for all levels...positive and inspirational"...Sharon
"Loved it, something for everyone even slow beginners"...Ronky
"Best quilting course I have ever done"...anonymous
We are running two workshops in July 2019.
… the first Monday 1st July 2pm to Friday 5th July 9am.
… and the second from Friday 5th July 9.30am to Sunday 7th July 2pm
… and you can choose to sleep over too!
Hillside Quilting is taking over the Yarra Valley Craft Retreat for a week from the 1st July 2019. There will be 15 workshop places for the Weekday event and 15 workshop places for the weekend event. Of these spots, 10 people can sleep over in the very lovely twin share accommodation with your own ensuite.
Set up your machine once and quilt for either 4 week days or 3 weekend days. Get to quilt all day, have a sleepover and get started again in the morning. If you are local you may prefer to go home to your own bed. Hence we have both options available.
A long week of quilting fun to be had...
It’s all about the quilting!
Finish a current project or I can get you going on another quilting project, free motion or quilting with the Westalee Rulers. Be guided by Anita Ellis, Westalee Accredited educator and Quilting teacher.
I will also run at least one mini workshop each day, covering a specific technique for you to learn.
Numbers are limited to 15 students for each event (10 of these folks can sleep over), so first in best dressed.
I will be there to teach and guide you on your projects from 10 am to 5 pm, after that I will be sewing with you. We all have projects to finish!
Dave, my lovely husband and 'Facilities Manager" will be there to carry your bags, cook, wash up and generally look after all of us.
I think that those who came to our last event would agree that he does a pretty fine job of it, leaving me to do what I do best, educate you in the way of free motion quilting and quilting with Westalee Rulers.
