Make 2020 oops...2021 the year you really learn how to quilt!

This is a quilt along with a difference...

Cracker Jack Quilt Along is a lovely vibrant modern quilt just begging to be quilted.  The construction is focused on precision piecing using the Westalee Design piecing tools.  These are included in the cost of the classes, but if you already have them, the price will be deducted from the class fee. We will be using the Westalee Rulers in both the piecing and the quilting process.

There are 6 classes in total..

Listen to a couple of my recent clients...

"Cracker Jack has definitely extended my quilting horizons. Right from the start we learnt little tips and tricks improving piecing accuracy and creating smoother seams and joins for quilting over later. Then we moved on to design ideas, practising and refining them before tackling the real thing. As it comes together, Anita has a fabulous 'quilt as you go technique', you really get a sense of achievement and can see how far you've come. The class sizes are great and we had a fantastic time sharing and learning together under Anita's watchful eye."

Jane 2016

"2016 for me was a wonderful year of classes learning through the journey of the Cracker Jack Quilt,

It was great working with a lovely group of ladies sewing at our own pace and learning the use of the Westalee Templates and rulers. Discussing the design aspects and the quilting has certainly made me look at quilts through a different light.

I was really pleased with my finished quilt and look forward to doing more classes with Anita this year.

Thank you for a very enjoyable experience."

plus one class in the new year of 2021 to be decided with the group.

One make up class is allowed if there is a date you need to move.  You really need to commitment to this programme.

The first two classes will cover construction details of the quilt top blocks.

I will be teaching you how to make the most of the Westalee Design Adjustable piecing rulers.  You may have bought these already but not been sure how to use them, well now you have a great project to get started on.

Some of this piecing will then take place at home before you come to your next class.  Once each of the blocks are pieced the rest of the classes will be ALL ABOUT THE QUILTING.

The final class will cover the quilt as you go technique that I have developed to ensure that no-one will guess you didn’t quilt Cracker Jack in one piece.  They will just be in awe of your amazing quilt and quilting skills.

I will be guiding you on your quilting journey each month, building your skill set.

A note about the Westalee Rulers

Fabrics are not included in the cost of the class and need to be purchased by you. I am happy to provide a guidance on your fabric choices.
